Since I was a kid, listening to audio plays and audio books has fueled my creative process. As a huge fan of the works of German Audio Play Publisher EUROPA, I especially love their older Cover Designs from the 1970s and 80s. So recently I created ten covers for a fictional series of audio plays called Mathilda & Morton. I tried to explore a mix of different techniques, combining 3D-modeling, digital painting and scans of paper textures. I was very happy that the biggest german fan forum for the Three Investigators Series decided to publish the project on rocky-beach.com
